Welcome to the My Happy Place Show and Tell Colour Inspiration Tuesday Day!

Today is the last day of the “My Happy Place” row-along and blog hop – the Show and Tell Day. This is the day where a few of the “My Happy Place” blog hoppers come back for an encore….. to show you how they finished their rows (or multiple rows) into usable quilted items.

Being Myself with You appliqué by Clever ChameleonI have finished my “Being Myself with You” row into a wall hanging with a small extra border and some free-motion embroidery. The My Happy Place embroidery template is included in today’s post for free if you’re keen to do it too. Also, if you have not grabbed your free copy of my “My Happy Place” pattern, consider this to be your friendly final reminder. It will only be available for free for one more week on my blog.

There is also one last give-away-something for everyone- a discount code for 20% off all EQ products valid for use before the 23rd October.  I really hope you have enjoyed this row-along, collected lots of wonderful patterns and found lots of new bloggers to keep an eye on. 🙂

The Great Outdoors Island Batik Blog Hop

Victoria and Albert quilt by Clever Chameleon in the Great Outdoors

Welcome to my stop on the Island Batik Great Outdoors blog hop!

Once every six months, Island Batik Ambassadors get to showcase one of the latest fabric collections from Island Batik. Today is my first time on an Ambassador hop, and I am really excited to be able to show you these wonderful fabrics in action.

Victoria and Albert batik fabrics from Island Batik

The fabric collection I was allocated is called Victoria and Albert. There are 30 fabrics in this huge collection and they make me think of an early spring garden. Lots of green, with just a few things starting to bloom. Or perhaps even a formal English garden, with manicured hedges, sandstone retaining walls, fountains and a sprinkling of roses. There is no mistaking the influence of William Morris here.

The colours in this collection are mostly reserved, but pretty. Many of the designs are floral, but there are also fountains, dragonflies and dotty blenders. And I have used them all to make a new quilt for my daughter’s bed.

Come on over and I’lll show you these terrific fabrics in more detail and give you a chance to win some to make your own small project.

Dragonfly Disco – Colour Inspiration Tuesday and Link Party

Dragonfly Disco color scheme by Clever Chameleon

It’s done…. my dragonfly/garden/lattice Great Outdoors Island Batik quilt is done and is ready for show and tell tomorrow. Just in time!

Tomorrow is my turn on the Island Batik Ambassadors blog hop and my job is to showcase the freshly released Victoria and Albert batik collection.  I am sharing the day with Barb from Bejeweled Quilts,  who was allocated the same fabric line as me. I can’t wait to see what Barb has done with them. And I can’t wait to see you back here! Because……

I have a problem to solve and fabric to give away. All you have to do to try to win the fabric is tell me what I should name the new quilt after I show it to you tomorrow. My daughter, the quilt’s recipient, will pick her favourite name from your suggestions and the winner will receive a taste of the Victoria and Albert fabric line as a reward. And there will be a runner-up fabric prize as well. International entries welcome……. I shall tell you all about it tomorrow, but there is some intelligence you can gather from an earlier progress report if you’d like to get a head-start.

In the meantime… do you like my finished dragonfly?
