Seaside Adventures: Week 5

Coasting along on our Seaside Adventure row-along.

Marian’s vision is really coming together now – we’re halfway through our participant list for the Seaside Adventure row-along. Thank you for all taking part in this event, and thanks to Mel Shields for hosting it. It makes me feel really proud that we are doing this one last thing to honour our friend, and doing it so well.

This week we have two more row-along patterns available – a beautiful mermaid, caring for her ocean home just as Marian was passionate about the health of our oceans. And a cheeky hermit crab who has made instant best friends with our wayward Chameleon!

Check out the rest of this post for links to collect these patterns.

A Seaside Adventure: Week 5

Week 5 is a shorter layover than usual, with just the two patterns today. But oh my gosh, both are just too adorable!

At Orange Blossom Quilts we have a mermaid communing with her aquatic friends. Secretly the Chameleon is hoping that she might pop up onto a stony outcrop and sing him a song or two. Liven up the holiday mood with a rock concert, so to speak…..

Laura’s mermaid and friends block, “Ocean Child”, finishes at 12″ x 30″.

And speaking of rocks, do you remember the “rock pool” block we collected last week, thanks to Linda of LindaBCreative? Well, the Chameleon did linger to look in it some more, just as he threatened. And, that’s where he found his latest bestie, Crabby McCrabface.

Change your mind – change your colour – change your shell….. they had soooo much to compare notes on!

This cute hermit crab appliqué that Carolyn has created for you fits on a 12″ block and you can download it at Appliqués Quilts and More. Awww, looks at that sweet face, not really crabby at all.

If you’d like today’s patterns, you can collect them at their respective pages in the links provided.

Thanks also to Mel Shields of The Quilting Room with Mel blog for continuing to host the “A Seaside Adventure” row along this year.

Enjoy!

The Chameleon wishes you a clawsome week! He’s off to catch the train at King’s Crustacean for the next leg of his Seaside Adventure.
