Today we are doing something a wee bit different for Colour Inspiration Tuesday….. we are going inspiration hunting.
And while we’re at it, let’s spread a little happy sunshine around!
That’s right, this week I want to invite you to the 2018 New Quilt Bloggers Blog Hop. It’s open season on new quilt bloggers right now…. and a great time to hunt for some great new blogs to add to your reading list.
The New Quilt Bloggers Blog Hop
There are 32 new and newish quilt bloggers participating in this year’s New Quilt Bloggers blog hop. Yesterday, the first eight of those bloggers emerged from the safety of the internet jungle to post about their quilting journeys, a little about themselves and a taste of what their blogs are about. If you haven’t seen the hop already, I recommend that you take this opportunity to check these 8 blogs out. You just might find a blog or two (or eight) you’d like to add to your reading list.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to visit the following list of bloggers and leave them an encouraging comment…..
Gail @ Quilting Gail
Rachel @ Rachel Rossi Design
Tracie @ Riceford Streams
Wendy @ Pieceful Thoughts
Jan @ Cocoa Quilts
Michelle @ Creative Blonde
Terry @ TLC Quilts
April @ JANDA Bend Quilts
For each blog that you visit and comment on you are also eligible to enter for a prize. There is an impressive list of sponsors. Visit one of the host blogs for the entry and prize details: Cooking Up Quilts, Dizzy Quilter, Mmm! Quilts, or Tish’s Adventures in Wonderland.
I will be telling you more about the background to my quilting and my blog on this hop too, early in May. Including more about my Hive (subgroup) of the New Quilt Bloggers crew. My Hive is named the Sunshine Quilters and is being guided by Beth of Cooking Up Quilts.
Does today’s colour board make you feel all warm and happy?
I found today’s feature photo (supplied by Laura Pratt on Unsplash) because I was looking for images that might pertain to my New Quilt Bloggers hive name. But I have to admit, the smiley sun balloon and the photo’s colours primarily appealed to me as a great place to start with a fun child’s quilt design. Very Spring…. which I know a lot of you guys are hanging out for! Never let it be said that I let a quilt inspiration opportunity slip past me! 🙂
That’s it for today. Short and sweet. But that’s a good thing…. It gives you extra time to go visit some of those other bloggers who are hoping you will discover them.
Tell them the Chameleon sent you! 🙂
And meet me back here later in the week for progress on my project for the April Island Batik Ambassador’s challenge.
I needed this for color inspiration today. It makes me want to jump into the picture and hug that balloon. Too much cold and gray where I am. It’s so much fun hopping around and getting to know all the bloggers a bit better. Lot’s of color inspiration to see on their pages as well.
Thanks for the Sunshine. We got actual sunshine for a few minutes today…maybe we ill get more tomorrow
