October is coming……!

A quick post to keep you in the loop!

And because if I look busy, someone else might clean the bathroom……

Yeah right! A girl can dream. lol

But October is looming even larger than my bathroom and that means time for another Beary Colourful Bear BOM instalment. The Blue-Violet Bear will be introduced to you over the next few days by his best friend, September’s Red-Violet Bear. Keep an eye on the Clever Chameleon Facebook page for more sneak peeks.

If we are doing sneak peeks, that also means that the September Color Challenge link up at Patterns by Jen is open. Remember to link up your Red-Violet projects at Jen’s for a chance to win this glorious selection of fabrics from Phat Quarters. You only need a quilt block in this colour, not a finished article, so you could still easily do something this weekend for your chance to win.

My Happy Place

Did you see my new free pattern available as part of the My Happy Place row-along blog hop? You can still download it from here. The mammoth row-along hop is being run by Marian of Seams to be Sew. Northcott generously provided the fabric used in the background of my row.

 

 

 

 

The row-along is ongoing until early October, and there are still lots of prizes to be won, so it is worth keeping up with the last third of this hop even if you haven’t been following the whole time. Days 7 and 8 are still open and Days 9 and 10 are still to come. You can also still enter for a download of Electric Quilt v8 via the Rafflecopter widget in my post. Of course you can try to win it, but be warned, I will be trying to beat you to it! 🙂

Fusible Appliqué

Closer to home, in our last post I asked you all for your opinions on fusible adhesives.  Thank you so much to everyone who has shared their experience so far. I was sure you would collectively be able to help Janice and I out, and you have certainly not disappointed us. 

If you still have a pearl of wisdom (or a whole necklace) to share about fusible adhesives (your favourites, tips and tricks etc), I’d still love to hear it. I’m going to be giving this Wishing Star bookmark away to someone (anywhere) who’d love to pet these little bits of Island Batik’s latest fabrics in the flesh and then put them to use.
