Travel delays!
Well, it seems that the Seaside Adventure tour bus is running late this week…..
I think the Chameleon must have got distracted making sandcastles. Or perhaps he was just hiding under the boardwalk eating bucketloads of ice cream.
Luckily, we can still make up the time and be on schedule again for next week. The Chameleon knows a short cut. C’mon, has he ever led you astray?! Yeah, don’t answer that. 😀
This week the row-along patterns available are a fabulous paper-pieced bucket, a terrific starfish in an ocean wave block and a set of ocean friends appliqués. Worth the wait I’d say.
A Seaside Adventure: Week 4
How holidays seem to speed by! We have been on the Seaside Adventure for nearly five weeks now. But remember, these patterns are Week 4 offerings, as this post has come late in the row-along week, so make sure you chase up these patterns straight away. They might only be free for a couple more days until Week 5 starts, and you don’t want to miss out.
The pattern for the Chameleon’s bucket-o-fun can be scooped up Duck Ceek Mountain Quilting. Sue’s Bucket and Spade block finishes at 12″ square.
Linda has cleverly combined an ocean wave bock with a starfish appliqué. You can find this pretty 12″ square block here on the LindaBCreative blog. Doesn’t it remind you of a rock pool? The Chameleon is fascinated by rock pools, so he loves this! This block could cause more delays yet…….
And our third pattern this week is a marvelous set of ocean-going appliqué silhouettes by Raylee of Sunflower Stitcheries and Quilting. The Seabound Friends block is 15″ square, but these fabulous shapes could also be used on filler blocks if you need something to help all the Seaside Adventure blocks fit together nicely. I’m sure you can find all sort of uses for these distinctive shapes.
If you’d like these three patterns, you can collect them at their respective pages in the links provided this week for free. But be quick.
Thanks also to Mel Shields of The Quilting Room with Mel blog for continuing to host the “A Seaside Adventure” row along this year.
Enjoy!
Well, better late than never. I hope you enjoy this week’s patterns, And I hope they were worth the weight!
I think the Chameleon had better walk the next leg of Marian’s Seaside Adventure, don’t you? Quick march! Seems an appropriate penance for skiving off his tour duties to sneak ice cream. See you again very soon!
thank you for sharing. these are wonderful blocks. I know that my daughter will enjoy the circle of sea creatures. this will make lovely place mats for her fairly new kitchen.
