Love with a Twist Throw Quilt Assembly Instructions

One of the three options in the Love with a Twist free quilt-along at Clever Chameleon in 2019.

Let’s get this party started!

Last post I announced my latest big idea. The BOM…. or perhaps it should more accurately be the BOF? (approximately block of the fortnight)….. available here for 2019. Whatever we are going to call it, let’s get this very casual and fun quilt-along off the ground!

In this post you will find my first lap-size quilt top constructed pre-appliqué and a pdf download of the instructions so you can start yours too. Of course, it is not necessary to pre-assemble your quilt top before you applique the blocks. You can definitely choose to appliqué all your balloons before you assemble them. But information is power, and after today’s post you can make some informed decisions on how you wish to proceed.

The Scoop: Colour Inspiration Tuesday and Link Party

Wombat Scoop colour scheme by Clever Chameleon

The Scoop on The World’s Strangest Poop!

My daughter wants me to sew appliqué poop onto my latest quilt.

Yup. You just read that. And it’s totally true. My 10 year old daughter is on a mission to have scat immortalised on the quilt I am making for her younger brother. And what is possibly even more astonishing – my 8 year old son has declined the offer.

Wild Thing(s), You Make My Heart Sing!

Ok, so that line’s been done before… Even for this exact fabric collection, by at least one other Island Batik Ambassador. But my quilt is covered in Whimsical Wild Things and this project does truly make me happy. So I’m subjecting to you to the obvious earworm  anyway!

Wild Thing! Bah da da da dah! You make my heart sing! Bah da da da dah! You make eeeeverything Grooooooo-veeeey!

Tired Teddy Labyrinth: Colour Inspiration Tuesday and Link Party

Tired Teddy Rainbow colour scheme from Clever Chameleon

Better late than never, right? It’s a few days overdue, but my November Island Batik challenge quilt is finished.

The Chameleon is Back. In full Colour!

It is really nice to be presenting a rainbow quilt today – after two fun but black and white posts. I do truly love the drama of a good black and white quilt or the cuteness of a panda appliqué. But black and white is not my natural go to for a finished quilt, whereas the Island Batik Paisley Dots batik collection is totally within my comfort zone.

What’s not to love about a rainbow!?!
