It’s A Garden Party Row Along!

Welcome to Day 6 of the “It’s A Garden Party” row along!

Please excuse the pigeon. He says he’ll be with us in a moment.

Once a year Marian of Seams to be Sew hosts an amazing event – a huge row along where lots of designers come together on one project. This year we have each designed a garden themed block for you to collect – mix and match them into a project that you love!

Garden Party row along

If you follow along with this event, you will find lots of beautiful gardening blocks, flower blocks, garden produce blocks and fun critters to choose from – some of which you might even prefer on a quilt than in your actual garden! And there are prize draws too. Come join the party, try out your luck in the prize draws, and collect your free copy of my block pattern today: Garden Bath Joy.

Hello Beautiful!!: Colour & Inspiration Tuesday

Hello Beautiful Ogre color board from Clever Chameleon

Hello Beautiful Ogre!

Once Upon a Story row-along at Seams to be Sew

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and this guy has a face that surely only a mother could love. But he has a good heart, and this much maligned but very amenable Ogre is our feature today because….. this is a sneak peak of a quilt panel I am working on for the Once Upon a Story row-along, organised by Marian of Seams to be Sew. And this row-along starts today! Read on to find out more about it.

You will want absolutely to find out more… there are free patterns and raffle prizes at every hop stop – including a download of EQ8 for one lucky winner, and lots of fabric prizes from our major sponsor Northcott Fabrics. Yup, Do. Not. Forget. to enter to win! The more you participate in this hop, the better your chances! Did I say, it starts today? Yes I did, and I hope you are sitting up and taking notice!

Child's Play icon for Island Batik

This week, my Tuesday is mostly about looking forward to what is next. September is the Accuquilt “Child’s Play” challenge for the Island Batik Ambassadors. And it is getting near to the end of our Love with a Twist quilt along too. Busy, busy, like the bees that have come out in force for the first few days of our Spring. Already the weather feels warmer!

How’s your Tuesday looking? Our Ogre’s putting his best face forward!

Fabulous Freebies – Quilt Binding Resources and a Free Appliqué Pattern

Have a Really Great Fall appliqué pattern at Clever Chameleon

Today is the fourth day of the Fabulous Freebies blog hop. Isn’t that Great!?!

This is the hop where we get to tell you about our favourite online quilting freebies….. resources we have found or written in the past and still love now. And there are plenty of new freebies going around too! This generous hop is hosted by the very interesting, funny and talented Joan of Moosestash Quilting. If you are not already a regular at Joan’s you are missing out, not just on fun quilting banter, but her unique garden and her adorable kittens too. Do head over there once you are finished here!

My contribution to the Fabulous Freebies hop today is a post rounding up my favourite binding tutorials. And I have a new free appliquéd wall hanging pattern for you as well – to try out your new favourite binding on. It’s big enough to have a good honest try at a binding technique, small enough to finish! Create it in readiness for Fall (of course if you are in the Southern Hemisphere you have a LOT of time to get this done before next Autumn). Regardless, it is a fun cheeky design and I hope it gives you a smile.

That’d be better than Great. It’d be……
