😀 Today I am wishing a very merry Monkey Christmas to you all! The Chameleon and I ape you have a safe and joyous celebration with as many of your loved ones as you can, by whatever means that you can. And here’s an early gift for you – the Year of the Monkey block pattern for the Lunarcy quilt.

It was nice having last week off, but the Chameleon is not really one to pass up on a bit of monkey business. So here we are – and monkey business is exactly what we shall have today. It’s time to look at the Year of the Monkey block of the Lunarcy quilt.
Also, I thought you might like to see where we travelled last week. We went to Coober Pedy and stayed in an underground dugout apartment. Coober Pedy, is the “opal capital of the world”, and is renowned for its underground accommodation; we had a really lovely time there.

One fell off, and popped his head…. Ooops. Hmmmm, that rhyme doesn’t work so well with balloons…. hahaha. Disturbing antics aside, I am making cheeky monkeys today. And having too much fun. One day they will even be on several someone’s beds, although hopefully minus the jumping. Our Love with a Twist quilt along is up to the balloon monkey! Yay!
Two monkeys today – one balloon monkey for my Twin size Love with a Twist quilt and the other for the Throw size. Don’t worry though, we are back to our usual “one pattern fits both quilts” scenario. This appliqué is one of my favourites from this series. The monkey just looks so happy, it’s hard not to smile back!
