I know I said the Balloon Dog appliqué was going to be the next step in this sew along….
But if you’ve been quilting for any length of time, you’ll know that sometimes projects have their own agendas. And, so it is for this one. The floppy-eared dog appliqué pattern is actually very nearly finished (yay!). But it has been pipped at the post by finished instructions for the twin sized Love with a Twist quilt construction. So let’s roll with it – let’s get the last of the technical details for this sew along out of the way and clear the deck for a pretty continuous party of appliqué from here on.
An appliqué festival it truly is going to be around here for the next month or so! I have the balloon dog block coming out asap (psst, there is a sneak peek at the end of this post). Also an appliqué mini quilt to start off the 2019 Island Batik Ambassador year, and an appliqué mini quilt for the “Show Us Your Wings” Blog Hop with Just Let Me Quilt (which also doubles as a bonus block for the Love with a Twist series).
