The 2018 Monthly Color Challenge is half done, and so are our Beary Colourful Bears. I think that calls for a mini-celebration, don’t you? So, let’s have a Teddy Bears’ Picnic!
Are you doing the Beary Colourful BOM with me? Want to, but need a little nudge? Well, here we go! I would love to see your bears. Even if I have already seen them before. I think they’d look great en masse so let’s give it a try it shall we?
At the bottom of this post is a link party. A Teddy Bears’ Picnic. If you have completed any or all of the Beary Colourful Bears, you are invited to link up a picture of each one. And for each bear you link up to my Teddy Bears’ Picnic, you will receive an entry into a random prize draw. Two lucky bears will be offered an exclusive quilted postcard from the Chameleon and me, to be sent anywhere in the world.
I know, right!!?!! Pick yourself up off the floor! Exclusive. Dare I say….. collectable?!! hahahaha
Tokens they may be, but sincerely meant and all yours. Stitched into them will be all of my huge appreciation of everyone who has been a part of this very fun BOM journey so far. And if you win, you’ll still have your postcard once you’ve gifted your Beary Colourful quilt. 🙂 Or you can use it as a unique gift card with your quilt if you are that way inclined.

Rules and Picnic Link Hints?
Not many, it’s really simple.
Links to relevant blog posts and Instagram are welcome, but you can also link up digital photos without links. No excuses. The Teddy Bears’ Picnic is open to everyone over 18, worldwide.
A valid email must be supplied so that in the event of a win you can be contacted. It will not be used for any other purpose. You must reply within a week of notification to claim your prize.
You must have a postal address that you are willing to supply to me if you win. Obvious, hopefully.
All Beary Colourful Bears are welcome. Even if you have made some alterations/personalisations. As long as your bear is a recognisable member of the Beary Colourful family, they are welcome.
You can link up to seven bears….. January through to the Yellow-Green bear about to be released for July. Did you notice him sneaking into the header pic? Oh, what a tease! You can see more of him on Facebook and Instagram @cleverchameleon.
Entries will close end 31st July 2018 (South Australian time). So if you are lagging behind, you still have time to whip up a bear or three. And you have time to add July’s bear to your family too.

Here are just a very few of the bears that readers have shared with me this year so far to get you in the mood.
Teres altered her Green Bear to be relevant to graduation celebrations in her country, Sweden. She was kind enough to explain to me that they don’t use mortarboards in Sweden. But instead have student’s hats like this bear. I learned something new and I love it!
Randomly chosen and just the tip of the iceberg. I hope these bears might also reappear in our picnic below. 🙂
I have gotten to know several Beary Colourful creators through interactions around this BOM, and I count myself as blessed. For that alone, this exercise has been worth it. And there’s been plenty of other pluses besides.

Yes, my bears are waiting in the wings for the call to be on stage. The #2 green Bear of Superior Academic Success is just waiting for his laser theodolite to be finished, it is drawn on but needs to be top stitched, after all he has a BE with Honours and a ME with Distinction. A picnic, this is wonderful fun for us all.
These are all so cute.
My friend, Edi, is doing them, and staying up pretty well. I didn’t start, but I will eventually do them. These are great and I look forward to seeing the party!
They are all linked up, at “A Picnic in Winter “…They had a fab picnic, the two greens jostled for their place, the mortar board was fixed, and the sun was shining.I can see every other bear in a link is wonderful .
I hope to have at least one done…maybe??!! But what happened to the linkup? Am I missing it? Running behind as usual!!

every time i try to get the free patteren it says it has expired
I’m sorry, that is because it has. I only have the resources to run and support one free BOM at a time. This year we are doing balloon animals. We would love to have you along for that quilt along instead if it takes your fancy.
