Postcards from the Seaside!
You’ve got mail!
Dear Friend,
I have been on the road for 3 weeks already, but there’s not been a dull moment! The weather is glorious, the coastline is stunning, and the beach is littered with beautiful quilt patterns just waiting to be scooped up for my collection. Having a ball, wish you were here!

As you can see, the Chameleon is still enjoying Marian’s memorial Seaside Adventure Row Along enormously! I hope you are keeping an eye on the pattern releases and are building up your collection. This week we have three new patterns, all as terrific as the first two sets. Turtles, sandcastles and more colourful fish. Keep reading to find out where to collect the rest of your happy mail. 😀
My reports are done. And a 2-week break from work is nigh….. time to let our hair down and celebrate the third successful week of the Seaside Adventure Row Along. Next week I shall sew! I hope.
A Seaside Adventure: Week 3
The Chameleon’s Seaside Adventure tour bus has meandered along the coast to our next set of attractions. He has sent you a postcard from each stop….. he hopes you are only a little bit jealous……. 😉
First the Chameleon stopped at Patti’s Patchwork, right on the reef. There, tucked in amongst the coral, he found this fabulous fish pattern! This block finishes at 12″ x 30″ and is called Which Way to Class? Well…. we all know the answer to that….. the Chameleon is all class, so step this way! bahaha 😀
Dear Friend,
I went swimming today. I found a whole reef-full of colourful friends to play with. We played hide and seek, but it wasn’t really a fair challenge, since I can change my colour at whim! But they pranked me by yelling “SHARK!!” so I think we are even!

After swimming it was time for sandcastles. Digging in the sand, our Chameleon stumbled across this little treasure. A 12″ x 12″ sandcastle block by Nancy at Patchwork Breeze. Cute! This pattern went straight into his bucket.
Dear Friend,
Sandcastles at sunset, this is the life! How did I ever find time for quilting?!!!
There’s something about the spending time on the beach, isn’t there?….. the clock slows right down and you can feel yourself breathing properly again.
Relaxing hard and thinking of you,
Love from Clever xxoo
The Chameleon clearly loves all the blocks so far….. but his final acquisition this week has really got him itching to pack up and head back to the sewing room! Or maybe that is just the sand in his undies from the last stop……?
The Chameleon picked this pattern up for me as a souvenir at Elizabeth Coughlin Designs. Elizabeth’s sweet turtle hatchling block finishes at 30″ x 12″.
Dear Friend,
I had the greatest adrenaline rush today! For just a few squid, the sea turtles here will take you on the ride of a lifetime. I can’t believe how fast we rode the currents…. not too many chameleons could handle that pace!
Hurtle the turtle says “Hi!”

If you’d like these three patterns, you can collect them at their respective pages in the links provided this week for free.
Thanks also to Mel Shields of The Quilting Room with Mel blog for hosting the “A Seaside Adventure” row along this year.
Enjoy!
Dear Friend,
I have to scoot, but just wanted to drop you one last quick line to encourage you to join in the Seaside Adventure while you can. As you can see, others have done all the hard work. All you have to do is come along for the ride!

Your postcard notes are absolutely darling. Good to have you back even if only for a little
Lovely journey with golden sand and blue water. Those sunny skies are so tempting as over here we are having rain and some breezy wind. The coloured fish are calling me to take them and run!!!
bit jealous of your lovely weather, hailing here in Tassie! Great postcards!
Looking forward to seeing your creation, Dione!
